Good stuff Randy! I appreciate the "geeky" stuff! I had this wine the other day. Once this wine opened up, I could not believe how well it's drinking for a 2010! I can only imagine what a couple years will do for this really nice Syrah. Add Andrew Murray, the Syrah/Rhone legend, and 2011 will be fun to see!

I just had my first ChocoWine this past weekend. I liked it a lot, and so did about 4 of 5 others at the dinner. It had more of a alcohol bite than I expected, but not to an unpleasant level. Our bottle was 14% alcohol. You could just tell it had a bit of a kick.

I agree wholeheartedly with your high opinion of Santa Barbara County wines, and I sympathize that you have run out. &nbsp;Hopefully, you'll correct that situation and never let it happen again. &nbsp; Thanks for reading!

Santa Barbara wines should be featured all over the place. Their pinots are out of this world. Wish I had some more but I ran through the bottles I bought when I was there a few months ago. Such a shame! I'll have to go back and get some more. Aruthur Earl is one of my favorites to go to in Los Olivos. Good selection and I am never disappointed. I really enjoy staying at the Sandman Inn (<a href="http://www.thesandmaninn.com">www.thesandmaninn.com</a>). Downtown Santa Barbara and close to a lot more then just wineries!
